NEWPORT NEWS 鈥 A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a homicide in April.
David Anderson, a 30-year-old Newport News man, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Imani Parrish, also of Newport News, according to police.
On April 30 just before 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Antrim Drive, an apartment complex near Harpersville Road in the city’s South Morrison neighborhood, in reference to an unresponsive person, according to a release. When officers arrived, they found Parrish inside a residence and she was not breathing. She was pronounced dead at the scene and at the time, police announced a homicide investigation was underway due to the nature of her injuries.
No other information has been released.
