Norfolk State University officially introduced Jermaine Woods as the seventh head coach for the women’s basketball team during a press conference on campus in Brown Memorial Hall on Monday, April 7, 2025. Woods is a Chesapeake native and Norfolk State alumnus who most recently served as head coach at Coppin State University. He also played college basketball at Christopher Newport University and started his coaching journey at Booker T. Washington and Maury high schools.
